MetaTrader 5 (MT5) is the platform you’ll trade on with Bharat Sky. This guide gives you a quick tour, so you know where everything is before you place a trade.
Getting the platform
MT5 is available as a desktop app for Windows and macOS, a mobile app for iOS and Android, and a web terminal that runs in any browser with nothing to install. Log in once with your account details and everything stays in sync across devices.
The main areas you’ll use
- Market Watch, the list of instruments and their live prices.
- Chart window, where you analyse price with timeframes and tools.
- New Order, where you set size, direction and your stop and take profit.
- Toolbox, your open positions, history and account balance.
Setting up your first chart
- 1
Open an instrument
Right-click it in Market Watch and open a chart window.
- 2
Choose a timeframe
Switch between timeframes (like M15, H1, D1) to see different views of price.
- 3
Add what you need
Apply indicators or drawing tools from the menus if your strategy uses them.
Placing and managing trades
Open the New Order window (or press F9), set your volume, add a stop loss and take profit, and place the trade. It then appears in the Toolbox under open positions, where you can modify or close it at any time. Our guide to placing your first trade walks through this in detail.
