How to start investing in U.S. stocks from India

Investing in U.S. companies is no longer reserved for institutions. With the right platform, a trader in Bharat can own a slice of Apple, Nvidia or an S&P 500 ETF in minutes — often with zero commission and fractional shares.

The first step is opening an account. A quick, secure onboarding flow verifies your identity and sets up your trading profile. Once approved, you can fund instantly with UPI, net banking or a card.

From there, search for a company you understand, decide how much to invest, and place your first order. Fractional shares mean you can start with as little as $1 — there's no need to buy a whole share of an expensive stock.

Remember that markets move both ways. Diversify, use risk controls, and never invest money you can't afford to lose. This article is educational and not investment advice.
